My honest review of The Inkey List's Niacinamide Serum
cal ingredient. The Inkey List Niacinamide Serum combines a 10% concentration of Niacinamide and combined with a 1% helping of Hyaluronic Acid for extra hydration. This is a perfect combination to acid in reversing the effects of acne and ageing, as well as hydrating at the same time.Niacinamide is unique as a skin ingredient as it has an effect on inflammation in the skin. It's effective against inflammation from acne, but also inflammaging caused by inflammatory skin conditions. It's really effective against hyperpigmentation and is much more skin-friendly than harsh acids that are used to treat hyperpigmented skin conditions.
It's also proving effective at reinforcing skin during pre-menopausal skin and menopausal skin.

Strengths
Penetrates skin rapidly and leaves skin ready to receive moisturiser directly after application. The water based nature of this serum means that it doesn't feel sticky after application. Use over a few days to reduce inflammation in the skin. Use consistently to improve skin texture for skin ageing conditions.
Weaknesses
WARNING: Shake Well Before Use!
If the bottle isn't shaken before applying it, you can get a white residue on the skin. Also if the product isn't massaged into the skin or if it is over applied in an area it can leave a similar white residue. For this reason, it's not really to be used topically on individual spots. The white residue is harmless as it is just the niacinamide converting back into a powder (It comes in powder form naturally before it's made into a serum by The Inkey List). Just be sure to shake the bottle well to mix up the liquid and apply a think layer evenly and follow with your normal moisturiser to avoid this effect.

My Opinion
I've used many niacinamide serums and moisturisers over the years. Many of them are extremely pricey. The Inkey List Niacinamide Serum provides excellent value for money for a 10% serum. 10% is the maximum concentration needed for effective treatment of acne and inflammation on the skin. If you are looking for a skin serum that can treat many skin issues at once, then I think this is a great budget option that really works.
Would I buy it again? Absolutely YES! I've already purchased this several times over now and is another one of my go-to hydration serums.
