My honest review of Heliocare 360° Advanced Body Gel SPF50
Until now, choices of sunscreens for the whole body were quite limited for me. I always seemed to find excellent formulations for my face, (especially from Heliocare), but I struggled to find a larger sized sunscreen that I could use for the whole body.

That's why I was so happy when Cantabria Labs decided to make a full body Gel sunscreen available in UK, with the same high-protection ingredients that were available for the face.
Heliocare 360 Advanced Body Gel SPF50 is the perfect holiday companion. But I find that I use this everyday on my arms, legs and in fact any part of my skin that is going to be exposed to UV light whilst I do any outdoor activity. Whether I'm walking my dog or walking along my usual walking path (I walk almost 10km at least 5 days a week), then I'm always sure to use this brilliant sunscreen before I set off.
Unlike other body sunscreens that only protect from UVB & UVA light, Heliocare 360° Advanced Body Gel also protects the skin from Infrared-A and Visible Light sources. Perfect to protoct the skin from hyperpigmentation and also from heat-rash, that I always seem to suffer from in early Spring and Autumn.
So now I've ditched the old body sunscreen from major brands that had questionable ingredients, for this one that actually feeds my skin with high levels of anti-oxidants and anti-aging ingredients, whilst protecting me from UVA, UVB, IR-A & Visible Light.
Last, but certainly not least, this non-greasy, lightweight gel formulation also has a unique ingredient called OptiD which allows the skin to still produce Vitamin D, whilst still providing the full-spectrum sun protection factor. A nice addition and certainly important for still allowing the health benefits of vitamin D production whilst preventing the negative effects of daily sun exposure.

Rating
I'm giving this a well-deserved 5 stars! Finally a body SPF that I actually enjoy wearing. I love that I still can produce Vitamin D whilst wearing this light-weight gel.
My Opinion
This has been a game-changer for me. You might remember that I previously have had actinic keratosis removed from my face. So. being able to protect my body (particularly my arms and legs) whilst out walking and exercising, has meant I can ensure I'm protected.
I really like the skin feel of this light-weight gel formulation. It's definetly not oily or greasy and absorbs well into the skin. I've also road tested (literally whilst walking in the hot sun) this sunscreen, and can safely report that it stays in place and resists the milky white sweaty mess that I've had with other sunscreens on my walks.
My skin also feels hydrated and irritation free when I'm wearing this sunscreen and when it's time to shower and remove it, I don't feel the normal sticky residue that I've had with other body sunscreens.
Would I Buy It Again?
Yes. Absolutely my go-to body sunscreen.
