My honest review of The Ordinary Resveratrol + Ferulic Acid Serum

Resveratrol has been around for quite some time now and has been included in many higher-end skin care products. Most notable of these was a product serum, similar to this serum but made by SkinCeuticals. However their version only has 1% of Resveratrol.

Ferulic Acid is also a great higher-end skin care ingredient and was included here in this serum to aid skin penetration and boost the anti-oxidant effects of the resveratrol.

Both of these ingredients are considered "super-anti-ageing" ingredients, due to their powerful anti-oxidant effects on the skin.

Strengths

Extremely light-weight, oil-based serum. Soaks into the skin very rapidly and provides an instant anti-oxidant boost to tired and dull looking skin. I found it was best used before moisturiser and after using any water-based serums.

Weaknesses

I tend to get a slight warming sensation on the skin as soon as I apply this serum. Which is not a bad thing, but can be an unexpected sensation.

Key Ingredients

3% Resveratrol, 3% Ferulic Acid.

Rating

I give it 5 stars. I have used this immediately after either The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Serum or The Inkey List Niacinamide Serum. and I have to say, it has provided a huge boost to the luminosity of my skin.

My Opinion

I really liked this cleanser. It gave a good clean and my skin wasn't irritated or dehydrated after using it. I also liked that it has two very gentle cleansing agents that are sulfate free. Being fragrance free is also an excellent choice as this cleanser is a go-to for people who suffer from fragrance allergies or sensitivity.

Would I Buy It Again?

A resounding YES! In fact it's a regular purchase of mine.
