Having used Dermalogica products for many years in my professional skin clinic in London, I am always up for trying new product formulations. The old cleanser from Dermalogica that was aimed towards people with drier/dehydrated skin (Essential Cleansing Solution) was not one of my favourites. I tended to find that it was way too creamy on my skin, which wasn't dry or dehydrated, I found it quite oily and difficult for me to feel that "clean-skin" sensation.
It was for this reason I was quite sceptical before trying this new cleanser formulation. Would it be equally oily and creamy? Read on to find out how I got along with it in my testing.
from £35 for 150ml
Sizes: 150ml & 295ml
Perfect cleanser for those with drier skin or who often feel dehydrated after using foaming cleansers. Rinses clean and doesn’t leave any residue behind, unlike most other cream based cleansers. Gentle enough for twice daily use.
None. Although if you have an allergy to any of the essential oil ingredients then it might be best to choose a fragrance free cleanser like Special Cleansing Gel instead.

I give it 5 stars. It was creamy, but a light cream and although it doesn't really foam, it does give a nice clean feeling on the skin. It doesn't feel tight or sticky after use. It rinsed completely clean afterwards.
This is a relatively new addition to the range of cleansers from Dermalogica. It replaced the Essential Cleansing Solution, which was a thicker and more creamy cleanser that did leave a residue behind. This new cleanser is a lovely hybrid cream cleanser that thoroughly cleanses the skin, without stripping away any hydration from the skin. I really love how this doesn't feel tight or dry after I've finished cleansing, and is the perfect cleanser if you tend to have dryness from time to time.
